Design

At university I was a part of a graphic design team, I’ve gained experience in branding, typography, printing, and visual design. For my final project, I created and printed an illustrated guide to LGBTI, designing everything from the layout to the vector illustrations.

I am well accustomed to the Adobe Suite programs (Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), Wordpress and Microsoft Office including Excel.  As well as being an illustrator and artist all my life with extensive experience in creating custom illustrations for commissions and exhibitions.

Sculpture by the Sea Internship, 2018

In March I attended my first Graphic Design Internship with Sculpture by the Sea and helped to design the kids guide for the 14th annual Cottesloe Sculpture by the Sea exhibition. Adobe Suite programs Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop were used to create activity pages and to coordinate artist pages. Responsibilities included layout design, photo retouching and vector image creation.

Illustrated Guide to LGBTI, 2017

For my final Visual Arts and Graphic Design project I decided to tackle social problems during 2017. At the time of creating this illustrated guide, same sex marriage was still not legal. I wanted to make a guide that would identify certain animals that helped to highlight gender fluidity and sexuality within the animal kingdom.

If it was so natural in nature, why are humans so against anything but heterosexuality. I created the guide with hand drawn illustrations, vectors, Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop along with research on animals.

During the prototype phase of 'An Illustrated Guide to LGBTI', clothing was considered as a way of advertising the project.

Punch & Co, 2017

Punch and Co was the name of my graphic design team in my final semester at university. Here are some designs that I can up with for our logo. Even though we settled on a different design, I would still like to include my work into my portfolio to show that I can not only illustrate, but also brand. During the prototype phase of 'An Illustrated Guide to LGBTI', clothing was considered as a way of advertising the project

I made this video for an assignment at University that looked at the local surf culture of the Illawarra. It was my role within my graphic design team to create a stop motion video. This video was created by using various images made in Photoshop and a with Wacom, then put through a video editing software.
